Great Group Therapy for Individuals with Eating Disorders

For individuals struggling with eating disorder behaviors, I wanted to share this fantastic resource.  Dr. Janean Anderson runs a couple of fantastic groups that can be so helpful in building a recovery-focused community. Please see below:

--Eating Disorder Process Group:
Get help with Dr. Janean Anderson, a specialist in treating eating disorders.  Dr. Anderson is offering a process group for eating disorders/disordered eating, exercise and body image concerns. The Eating Disorder Process Group is a supportive therapy group for individuals to learn more about their struggles with food and their bodies. Group runs Thursdays 5:30-7:00pm.  This is not a drop-in group.  Sliding scale rates are available.

-Eating Disorder Skills Group:
The Skills Group for Eating Disorders is a semi-structured group designed to give members a place to talk about their success and struggles and to learn strategies to help reduce eating disordered behavior.  The group uses skills and techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).  Each week a new lesson is presented, introducing a new skill or concept. Group runs for 10 weeks.

-Relationships Process Group:
The Relationships Process group is an interpersonal process group for people who would like to work on issues related to relationships such as intimacy, trust, self-esteem, care taking, setting boundaries, as well as depression, anxiety, and other concerns. Group runs from 7:00-8:30 on Thursdays in 10 week increments.
