I don't normally make postings about movies, but this one is a real gem. The characters and storyline were funny and creative, while holding such insight. I would highly recommend watching "Hector and the Search for Happiness." I watched it twice, in fact, and actually took notes the second time because I didn't want to forget some of the quotes from the movie. Here are my offerings to you from the movie:
*Making comparisons can spoil your happiness
*Many people only see happiness in their future or their past
*Sometimes happiness is not knowing the whole story
*More important than what we are searching for is what we are avoiding
*Avoiding unhappiness is not the road to happiness
*There's really only one question: Does this person bring you predominantly up or down?
*Happiness is answering your calling
*Happiness is being loved for who you are
*Fear is an impediment to happiness
*Happiness is feeling completely alive
*Happiness is knowing how to celebrate
*People who are afraid of death are afraid of life
*Listening is loving
*It's not so much about the pursuit of happiness, but the happiness of pursuit. Happiness is a byproduct when we're otherwise engaged in something enjoyable or inspiring.
